Influence Analysis on Discriminant Coordinates
نویسندگان
چکیده
Discriminant analysis (DA), particularly Discriminant Coordinates (DC), is broadly applied in the scientific literature and included in many statistical software packages. DC is used to analyze biomedical data, especially for differential diagnosis on the basis of laboratory profiles. Papers handling influence analysis in DA can be found in the literature; however this topic has been scarcely touched upon in DC. In this paper the casedeletion approach is followed to introduce a perturbation in the data and influence measures are proposed to assess the effect on three statistics of interest: the transformation matrix, canonical directions and configuration of the sample centroids Note: The following files were submitted by the author for peer review, but cannot be converted to PDF. Sensitivity Analysis of Banks Efficiency to the Financial Variables
Discriminant analysis is a classification method that can predict the group membership of a newly sampled observation. In discriminant analysis, classification of new observed data has an uncertainty. In this paper, the confidence degree is introduced to determine the confidence of classification of new observed data. Then, a Monte Carlo-based sensitivity analysis is applied to an assessment of...
متن کاملCOORDINATE INFLUENCE ON SINGULARITY OF A 3-UPS PARALLEL MANIPULATOR
This paper shows the coordinates influence on singularity of a three degree-of-freedom structure, namely, three-Universal-Prismatic-Spherical (3-UPS) parallel manipulator. Rotational coordinates, which are chosen to define the orientation of the platform, affect the singularity of the manipulator. Euler parameters, which don't have any inherent geometrical singularity are utilized, however they...
متن کاملUtilizing Airborne Laser Intensity for Tree Species Classification
High-resolution datasets from Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) provide information to extract the outline of single tree crowns. Laser echoes with spatial coordinates inside these single-tree crowns give the ability of measuring biophysical properties and to classify species of these single-trees. Species classification by ALS-data is based on differences in crown shape, crown density, reflectivit...
متن کاملCluster protein structures using recurrence quantification analysis on coordinates of alpha-carbon atoms of proteins
The 3-dimensional coordinates of alpha-carbon atoms of proteins are used to distinguish the protein structural classes based on recurrence quantification analysis (RQA). We consider two independent variables from RQA of coordinates of alpha-carbon atoms, %determ1 and %determ2, which were defined by Webber et al. (2001). The variable %determ2 is used to define two new variables, %determ21 and %d...
متن کاملComparing Discriminant Analysis, Ecological Niche Factor Analysis and Logistic Regression Methods for Geographic Distribution Modelling of Eurotia ceratoides (L.) C. A. Mey
Eurotia ceratoides (L.) C. A. Mey is an important plant species in semi-arid landsin Iran. New approaches are required to determine the distribution of this plant species. Forthis reason, geographical distributions of Eurotia ceratoides were assessed using threedifferent models including: Multiple Discriminant Analysis (MDA), Ecological Niche FactorAnalysis (ENFA) and Logistic Regression (LR). ...
